I had the opportunity to play a streaming set for the awesome Radio Free Fedi fest on July 30. It was an absolute blast to prepare for, and I did something I’ve always wanted to do but have never actually done: a full-length solo set with synths, guitars, and vocals that is 100% live. That is, there are no backing tracks. Everything is coming straight out of the instruments into the mixing board.

We’re planning to do a Too Much Music podcast episode pretty soon talking about how I prepared for this show, but for now, you can see how it turned out. I’m happy with the results, and am going to keep doing this sort of thing for sure.

Or, if you’re not into YouTube, good on you! The kind folks at NHAM are hosting a Fedi-friendly version here! While you’re at it, check out some of the other amazing Fediverse musicians that are quietly (or, not-so-quietly) making great music out in the wide world.
